I like to draw anything that I find cool. I usually do figure drawing, especially of interesting character designs or just characters that I like in general. When I started doing digital art, I didn't have a tablet or anything, so I just did pixel art. I've since branched out to different styles, but I'm still a pixel artist at heart. Anti-aliasing is for the weak!
I've never finished any of the projects I've started, but I'm hoping to change that soon! Though, I say that every time I plan something new...
I started out making stuff in Scratch as a young child. Most of my original projects were lost to time, but a few of them are still online, if you can find them. Later on, I would experiment with actual game engines like Unity and Buildbox, but I would fall into the cycle of watching the "comprehensive beginner tutorial", playing around with the tools on my own, and ultimately forgetting about it for a few months (or years) until I happen to have the free time to pick it up again. And then I'd watch the tutorials again to "refresh my memory", and so on. I don't even think I ever got Buildbox to run properly... Anyway, my game engine of choice now is Godot, primarily because it's lightweight and doesn't require me to install anything else. The node system is also pretty intuitive, and I got a lot farther on my last project than I ever did on Unity. Admittedly, I still fall into "the cycle" (the last time I touched the program was in June of 2024), but I still feel well-motivated to continue working on it alongside my other projects.
