About Me

Who Are You?

Hey thanks for stopping by! I'm Ash (or trashk3tchup). College student from the Philippines. "he/him". Aspiring artist, programmer, and game developer. Professional video gamer and paint.net's strongest soldier. First language is English, but I can hold a conversation in Tagalog, too (I'm learning Mandarin as well, but I'm not good enough for conversations just yet). I enjoy drawing, long walks on the beach, all manner of hats and headwear, and not being under an allergy attack.

What stuff do you do?

I draw! I make art!! All that stuff!!! I also make videos on Youtube, usually speedpaints. I also (try to) develop video games, but I haven't completed any of my projects yet...

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is this site? How did you make it?

A: This is my personal website where you can find my About Me info, all my social media links, and even a personal blog. Everything here was coded by me in HTML/CSS, and I even wrote a custom Python program that reads from a bunch of .txt files and builds the HTML for me. The site is hosted for free on Neocities.

Q: What programs do you use?

A: I use paint.net for drawing and general image editing, while I use Premiere Pro for video editing. I record my screen with OBS and my voice with Audacity. If I ever do game development stuff, I do it in Godot.

Q: What hardware do you use?

A: My base of operations is a Huawei Matebook D14 laptop. I also use a Huion Inspiroy 420 tablet for drawing. I record voiceovers using a SAM-001 wired microphone or the microphone of my earphones that are likely due for replacement. My stuff may not be the fanciest or the most up-to-date, but it gets the job done! (Plus, it's all super lightweight and portable. I can even bring my setup to a cafe and work there!) I also have a Silvertec SEK-238L wired keyboard, if I ever feel like using it.

Q: How did you learn to do the things you do?

A: I learned how to draw, edit videos, develop games, and pretty much everything else by watching Youtube videos and reading online guides. I also get a lot of help from friends who are more experienced than me. Furthermore (wow), I took programming classes in high school and college. If you want to learn how to do this stuff yourself, check out the resources tab in the sidebar, where I've compiled some guides and tools that I find helpful for all of the above activities plus some of my own commentary. And, if for whatever reason you think I can help you, don't be shy to shoot a message my way!

Q: How can I contact you?

A: I have a Discord server you can join, and you can DM on any of my socials as well (check the social links tab on the sidebar!) Don't expect me to reply right away, no matter where you sent your message.
